Early 2012 marked the start of Chris Sterling's fourth decade at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he served on the faculty starting in 1982. His teaching and research interests focus primarily on electronic mass media history and policy, though he also publishes in other fields. In mid-2011 he returned to administration, becoming an associate dean in GW's Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.

This website includes information on Sterling's ongoing projects
(including Communication Booknotes Quarterly), a brief survey of his career and output, and numerous web links and reading suggestions about his many different interests.
